Emerald's 3-D "Density Cube™" Technology Leads to ...
East Cameron 369 Discovery

Q.

Can you identify which of these 3 fault blocks is associated with economic hydrocarbons? (Hint: Be careful, this area is notorious for its residual gas failures.)

A.

Fault blocks A and B were drilled by a major oil company and only found residual gas. Fault block C was drilled by Westport Resources using Emerald's new 3-D "Density Cube™" technology and found 250 feet  of net pay, from 3 sands, and is currently producing.

Amplitude Cross Section

Even the conventional 3-D AVO technology was misleading to the major oil company. Notice how fault blocks A, B and C all have positive 3-D amplitude and 3-D AVO  responses, but only fault block C has a positive 3-D density contrast response (as seen on both the map view and cross-section examples).

Bottom Line

Emerald's 3-D "Density Cube™" technology is superior and more reliable than conventional 3-D AVO technology for prospect evaluations.  Imagine having 3-D Density Cubes for Lease Sale evaluations... and then imagine how much more profitable your company could be with the 3-D "Density Cube™" technology.
